Bay of Fires in Tasmania, North Kirra Beach in Queensland, Woolgoolga Beach in New South Wales, and Emily Bay on Norfolk Island have been named among Australia’s top beaches for 2025, according to Tourism Australia’s latest rankings.

The Bay of Fires, a 10-kilometer stretch of pristine coastline, secured the top spot, marking the first time a Tasmanian beach has won the prestigious title.

Located within the Bay of Fires Conservation Reserve, the winning entry encompasses a 10-kilometer stretch of contiguous beach bays.

Tourism Australia's official Beach Ambassador, Brad Farmer, emphasized the difficulty in selecting a single beach in Tasmania due to the abundance of exceptional options. Consequently, the award was bestowed upon this cluster of neighbouring beach bays.

Farmer highlighted the area's clear blue seas, white sands, and striking rock formations as key factors in its selection.
