Karawang Station, a vital stop on Indonesia's groundbreaking Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway (HSR), officially opened on Tuesday, marking another milestone in the country’s modern transportation development.
The 142.3-kilometer rail line, developed in partnership with China under the Belt and Road Initiative, boasts a top speed of 350 km/h, slashing travel time between Jakarta and Bandung from over three hours to just 40 minutes.
Karawang Station is expected to play a pivotal role in linking industrial and agricultural sectors to urban centers, further solidifying its position as a hub of regional development and innovation.
